At The Beauty Room Airlie Beach we offer a wide range of brow services including Waxing, Tinting, Lamination, and Hybrid Dye. All of our Brow services include full eyebrow mapping for symmetrical and flattering shaping and finish with our signature brow massage for a relaxing finish.

Brow Sculpt Package

The ‘Brow Sculpt Package’ is our most common Brow service, including shaping, waxing, and tinting of the eyebrows. This package is designed to professionally measure, shape, and trim your brows to enhance their appearance and to frame your face perfectly.

Hybrid Sculpt Package

Starting with a brow-scrub, this package includes shaping and waxing of the brows, along with a hybrid stain/dye, which offers a more defined and longer-lasting result compared to regular tinting. This combination aims to create a polished and well-defined brow look that lasts longer than traditional methods.

Brow Lamination

Brow Lamination is a popular service that gives your brows a fuller, more uniform look by ‘lifting’ and restructuring the hair. This semi-permanent treatment lasts 5-7 weeks. For more information on Brow Lamination, please click here.

  • Keep the Brow area dry for at least 24 hours and avoid excessive washing or scrubbing.
  • Use Gentle products on your brow area. If you’re doing any exfoliation, please try avoiding the brows, especially whilst your treatment is fresh!
  • Protect your brows from excessive sun exposure, this will cause the tint/dye to fade more quickly.

Depending on what appointment you have booked, the duration will vary. Ranging from 15 – 75 minutes.

Your initial appointment will begin with a consultation to ensure we are aware of any contraindications or medications that may affect your treatment.

Please arrive eye make-up free & please avoid using any oil-based products on or around the area the day prior in prep.

You can book online here and select a date and time that is convenient for you. If your preferred date or time does not show, please add yourself to our waitlist and we will contact you if that time does become available. Alternatively, you can call our friendly team on 0448 160 702.

Please note we do take down card details at the time of booking. However, payment will be made on the day after your appointment has taken place, we accept card or cash.

Please note any cancellations/ changes made within 24 hours of your appointment does incur a $50 fee. Any no-shows/ cancellations made within 2 hours of your scheduled appointment time will result in 100% of the total service cost being charged.

Pre-care

Please ensure you arrive brow make-up-free & please avoid using any oil-based products on or around the area the day prior in prep. Oil-based products used on the area 24 hours prior will create a barrier on the skin, preventing the tint/dye from properly penetrating the brow hairs and stopping any staining on the skin. This can also result in an uneven and less effective result.

Aftercare

Keep your brows dry for at least 24 hours post-tinting/dying. This allows the colours to set properly. This includes avoiding swimming and heavy sweating and wearing Brow Makeup for the first 24 hours.

Avoid touching / rubbing – this prevents premature fading and avoids excess oils from our skin, breaking down the tint.

Oils can break down the tint.

Use an oil-free cleanser to avoid stripping the colour from your brows

Careful Exfoliating – When exfoliating, be careful not to get too close to the brow area, so you do not disrupt the colouring.

The first 24 hours after getting a waxing service done you must be extremely careful in the sun. Waxing can act as an exfoliation to the skin, allowing it to be more sensitive to UV Rays, causing sunburn more easily. To ensure you are being sun safe, a hat or sunglasses can protect your brows. Prolonged sun exposure can cause tint/dye to fade faster.

Plan for regular touch-ups every 4-6 weeks to maintain the growth, and tint and keep your brows looking fresh!

Frequently Asked Questions

Brow Tint is a semi-permanent product that is applied to the brow area. Its primary goal is to make brows appear fuller, and more defined. To ensure we get the right colouring for you, our team will run through a consultation prior to the treatment.

Tint generally lasts on skin for 2-3 days and hairs for 2-3 weeks.

Hybrid Dye, also known as Hybrid Brows/ Brow Dye/ Stain is a long-lasting highly pigmented dye that stains BOTH your hair and skin for longer periods of time than regular tint.

The ammonia-free formula has an impressive long-lasting effect of 7-10 days on your skin and 6-7 weeks on your hair. Compare that to a regular tint at 2-3 days on your skin and 2-3 weeks on your hair and the extra time and cost is worth it! Leaving you with crisp fuller brows for longer!

Hybrid dye is also suitable after Brow Lamination.

The results of a Brow Sculpt Package depend on several factors including hair growth cycle, skin type, and aftercare.

Growth – 4-6 weeks (if your hair growth cycle is quicker, this time could be less)

Tint – Usually on the skin for 2-3 days, Hairs 2-3 weeks.

The results of a Hybrid Sculpt Package depend on several factors including hair growth cycle, skin type, and aftercare but does typically lasts longer than standard tinting alone. Oily skin types may find fading occurs quicker as well as exposure to elements, swimming, and heavy sweating can also affect the longevity of your Hybrid Brows.

Growth – 4-6 weeks (if your hair growth cycle is quicker, this time could be less)

Hybrid Stain / Dye – Usually on the skin for 7-10 days, Hairs for 6-7 weeks.*

*Exposure to elements, swimming, and heavy sweating will affect this.

Results can last 4-6 weeks depending on your hair growth cycle. With regular waxing hair growth might become sparser and finer, potentially extending the time between sessions.

Unlike a lot of other salons, at The Beauty Room Airlie Beach, we prefer to use Hot wax (also known as Hard wax) for our brow appointments. We find Hot wax is less painful, gentler on the skin, and can be used on clients who use Retinols, AHAs, and BHAs as well as certain medications that thin the skin or target acne.
Brow Waxing can cause a little discomfort, but each person is different depending on your pain tolerance levels, skin sensitivity, and for women, where you are in your body’s cycle. Brow waxing is a very short appointment time, so if you do experience any discomfort, it doesn’t last long!

Post waxing you can expect to feel slight tingling in the area and redness. Both effects will subside within a few hours. Our after-treatment cream and brow massage is designed to soothe the skin and help subside your redness and tingling quicker!

To not block your pores and cause breakouts, it is recommended not to wear make-up for 24 hours after getting a wax.

Prior to every brow appointment (new and existing clients), we will run through a consultation to find out the shade or desired outcome for your brows. Colouring using tints/ dyes can feel a little darker to begin with, due to the initial ‘skin stain’, however, will lighten over the first few days.
