Lash Lift and Tint

Everything you need to know

A Lash Lift & Tint is the perfect way to enhance the look of your natural lashes, by having them ‘lifted’, ‘curled’ or ‘permed’ along with a tint for a darker effect. This long-lasting treatment is a great alternative to daily mascara or lash curlers

How does it work?

A Lash Lift is a two-step process, opening the disulphate bonds of your hair, allowing them to be ‘re-structured’ to a more lifted look. By placing silicone rods or shields on your eyelid, the lashes are then adhered to the silicone before the process takes place. Once the lift is complete, we will finish the service off with the tint.

How long does a Lash Lift last?

Results of a Lash Lift lasts for between 5-7 weeks depending on your normal lash-growth cycle. Everybody’s natural lashes are constantly growing and falling out and new lashes coming through! As the treated lashes fall out and new ones grow through, these have no longer been treated and therefore appear to be ‘dropping out’, when in fact they are new lashes and have ‘grown out’.

It is not recommended to get another Lash Lift until it has been at least 8 weeks, to ensure that all the previous lifted lashes have gone and new ‘un-lifted’ lashes are in their place.

Aftercare – Lash Lift & Tint

Aftercare for your Lash Lift + Tint is vital to ensure your Lash Lift lasts as long as possible and doesn’t cause any damage to your natural lashes! We hope you love your new lashes and your experience with The Beauty Room Airlie Beach. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

The Must DO’S

BRUSH YOUR LASHES Just like your hair, your lashes will need to be brushed just to give them a little tidy into place.

BE GENTLE Be Gentle with your lashes, please don’t pull at them or rub them

The DONT’S

This is because your Lashes can continue to process and lift for a further 24 hours, therefore, you don’t want to get them wet (especially with anything that contains any ingredients that can have an adverse reaction or affect the lift!).

For the first 24 hours please be wary of any heavy steamed environments ie – how close your face is to the oven whilst doing any cooking, if you work somewhere with a glass cleaner please stay away and avoid having a bath/sauna. You can still shower as normal, just not super-hot and steamy. This is for the same reasons as above, as the Lashes can continue to lift for a further 24 hours.

Same as the two reasons above, you can’t get them wet to remove the mascara and you don’t want anything to have an affect on the lift whilst they are still processing.

This can squash and put pressure on the lashes (especially over the first 24 hours) changing their direction and placement.

Using any oil-based products whether it’s oil-based makeup removers, creams and serums, or mascara, oil will pull tints away quicker. This is the same for brow tints! Avoid oily products to keep your tints lasting longer.

Tints usually last for 2-3 weeks depending on your lifestyle (the use of oils, mascaras, lots of swimming, etc will generally pull tints away quicker). A great way to keep your natural lashes looking and feeling fresh once you have had a Lash Lift, is to book a Lash Tint 4 weeks later, just to refresh that look! Then 4 weeks after, you can re-book in, for another Lash Lift and Tint!

You can yes. However, the PH Level in Lash Lifting products can lighten your lashes or give them a warmer tone. So even if you have darker lashes, it is always recommended to follow a Lash Lift with a tint to irradicate any warmer tones and to finish the service.

It is entirely up to you. It is included within the Lash Lift and Tint appointment should you wish to choose to have your bottom lashes tinted as well. Some clients prefer the look of just the tops tinted, whereas others that often wear mascara on the bottom, do like to have the bottoms tinted also.

No, professionals who perform Lash Lifts go through training and certifications to ensure Lash Lifts are done correctly, ensuring no damage is caused when performing a Lift. Ensure you follow the correct aftercare instructions to also avoid causing any damage.

Yes, absolutely! So long as it is past the first 24 hours. Getting your lashes wet, (including salt water or chlorine) will not affect your Lash Lift. A Lash Lift ‘restructures’ the hairs into a new position. They will remain like this until they have ‘grown out’. Please read the question ‘How does a Lash Lift happen’ to understand more.

Yes, absolutely! So long as it is past the first 24 hours. Some people will find they don’t wear mascara once they have a Lash Lift and Tint. Others, still like the added volume of mascara. Please just be aware that most mascaras contain oils, which will pull tints off quicker. You can pop back to the salon anytime to get another tint.

“I have visited the beauty room a number of times now and absolutely love the service! Charlotte is extremely professional whilst creating a relaxed environment for treatments. I love having my lash lift and tint and it actually lasts!! Even with swimming in the ocean and hit with salt spray daily.. Highly recommend a visit whilst in Airlie Beach or it should already be your only place for lashes if you live here!”
